In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to turn a block of wood into a beautiful bowl!
Each participant will start with a 2" thick x 7" wide in diameter piece of Brazilian Imbuia hardwood. From there, you'll work with a lathe and several turning tools to turn and hollow out your block of wood into a lovely key bowl.
The instructor will introduce tool basics and safety so you'll feel comfortable and confident while operating the machinery. Full face masks will be provided. No previous tool experience necessary.
Must wear at least a short sleeved shirt (no tank tops), closed toe shoes and preferably pants. For long-haired ladies, bring a hair elastic!
* A percentage of this workshop's proceeds will go towards supporting our programs with Saint Louise House & American Widow Project. To learn more about these partnerships, visit here: http://womendesignbuild.org/about/#whatwedo
